Chapter 5
In order to maintain high quality performance of the K-BINDER501 and to use the K-
BINDER501 safely, daily maintenance is required. Also, in order to use the K-BINDER501
under stable operating conditions, make sure to have the K-BINDER501 maintained by service
personnel periodically.

1. Daily maintenance

Before cleaning the K-BINDER501, make sure to turn OFF the main switch of the K-
BINDER501 and unplug the power cord.

Molding unit

Glue will adhere to the shutter for the molding unit and the cover bending plates (right and
left). Therefore, clean each part at least once a week.
Open the delivery cover and the front cover 3.

Loosen the two green thumbscrews securing the molding unit, and draw out

the molding unit as far as it will go.
Wipe the surface of the shutter and the cover bending plates (right and left)

using a cloth moistened with neutral detergent.

Push the molding unit back in carefully as far as it will go.

Tighten the green thumbscrews and close the front cover 3 and delivery cover.

Daily maintenance
WARNING
Be careful when drawing out the molding unit. If the molding unit is opened
forcefully, it may hit your pelvis and cause injury.
Shutter
Do not use thinner or organic solvent, or the belt may be deteriorated or
deformed.
