Notes:
1.This setup procedure is for an initial configuration session with the IBM
5500 Control Unit. Boot/Host directories and protocols will vary
depending on the type of NSM Host Servers the NS Client attaches to in
the network. The following shows examples of directories and protocols
supported by an AS/400.
2.The configuration directory is:
/QIBM/ProdData/NetworkStation/Configs/
3.The protocol is:
RFS/400
4.The TCP/IP address changes after a configuration cycle occurs on the
IBM 5500 Control Unit. You will need to change the NS setup to reflect
any IP address changes.
To access the Network Station, your workstation address must be as follows:
• Twinax cable port 0, address 0
• Internet protocol address 10.1.1.2
• Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.192
1. Start the Network Station's setup mode by pressing the Esc (escape) key
until the setup mode window appears.
