Resolving IP Addressing Issues

The adapter was unable to establish communications

place the IBM 5250 Express Adapter Support Diskette
#2 into your computer's floppy diskette drive and
reboot to run the IBM 5250 diagnostic program.
The adapter is online but the 5500 Control Unit is not

responding or the cable is not securely attached. Please
recheck the cable connection and reboot your machine
to correct this problem. If this message reappears,
consult with your 5500 Control Unit administrator to
determine if the 5500 Control Unit is configured for
your workstation
The 5250 adapter that was detected is either not

supported or not responding correctly. See the readme
file (readme.doc) for a list of supported adapters.
Another computer is already using the Station Address

that you specified during installation. Your 5500
Control Unit administrator can provide you with an

contact your 5500 Control Unit system administrator

If Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) services are not available
on your network or if you manually configured the IP Address during
installation of the IBM 5250 Express TCP/IP Driver, verify that your
computer is using the correct IP address. See your 5500 administrator for your
