    1.2 Application Comfort ventilation EXHAUSTO VEX is used for comfort ventilation tasks. Operating temperature range for the unit - see section "Technical data". Prohibited uses The VEX unit is not to be used to transport solid particles or in areas where there is a risk of explosive gases.

EXHAUSTO recommends a condensation outlet is also fitted at the lowest point in the ducts. Outdoor air intake The outdoor air intake must be dimensioned with sufficiently low airflow to prevent rain and snow being drawn into the duct system.

Bypass damper with motor For operation with heat recovery, the bypass damper is closed so that the air passes through the crossflow heat exchanger. Pull the fan unit out to the stop (three screws) on the sliding rail. Dismount the motor cable from the motor control on the sliding panel and pull it towards the motor through the rubber grommets.

Mechanical assembly 3.1 Installation Description It is important that the VEX is suspended horizontally (max. +/- 3 mm per metre), as this affects the collection and draining of the condensate. 3.2 Installation of ceiling unit 3.2.1 Mounting on ceiling Dimensioning Fixings for mounting the VEX unit on the ceiling must be dimen- sioned to take the weight of the VEX (190 kg).
