Appendix A
Sharing Your Printer Cross-Platform in
Windows 2000/XP
If you are using Windows 2000/XP, you may need to set up an additional
driver in the following situation:
Windows 2000/XP server system sharing with Windows 98/Me
client systems
For the setup procedure, have the MultiPASS Suite installation disk
available.
To share your printer in Windows 2000/XP:
1. On the MultiPASS server system, on the Windows taskbar, click Start,
point to Settings, and then click Printers (in Windows XP, click Start,
and then click Printers and Faxes).
2. In the Printers window (in Windows XP, the Printers and Faxes
window), click the printer icon.
3. On the File menu, click Sharing.
4. In the Properties dialog box, on the Sharing tab, click Shared As or
Share this printer.
5. In the Shared As box or Share name box, type a name you want to
assign to the shared printer.
6. Click Additional Drivers.
7. Follow the on-screen instructions:

When prompted in the Additional Drivers dialog box, click the
environment you want to support on your Intel Pentium system:
Windows 95/98 (Windows 2000).
Windows 95/98 and Me (Windows XP).
