Set Up the Machine

Connect the Power Cord and Turn On the Machine

Connect the power cord into the rear socket on the back side of the machine and the wall outlet, and press
the [I] side of the main power switch (A) to ON.

The machine enters the standby mode.
The LCD display turned off:

The machine may enter the sleep mode while you are setting up the machine. Press [POWER] to turn the machine back on and
continue the setup.
<CLOSE COVER LEFT COVER> is displayed:

Make sure that the left cover is closed properly. (See "Install Toner Cartridge, " on p. 4.)
<TONER IS NOT SET INSERT TONER> is displayed:
●
Make sure that the toner cartridge is installed properly. (See "Install Toner Cartridge, " on p. 4 and "Set Up the Paper Cassette and Load
Paper" on p. 7.)
Any data stored in the memory, including received fax documents, will be deleted about 60 minutes after you turn off the main power
switch or unplug the power cord.
