Tests can be performed once, for one through 98 minutes, or continuously
(selected by entering 99 minutes) until a Stop Test command is entered.
Tests will continue for the duration specified even if a failure occurs, and will
terminate at the end of the time period or when a Stop Test command is
issued. Only this command will stop a test with a duration selection of 99,
however the STOP command can terminate a test set to any duration from
one to 99. After entering the test number selection, a prompt similar to
Figure 49 will appear:
Before a test is run, be sure to verify that the card is disabled since the tests
will interfere with calls currently in process.
During a test, if an invalid word is received, this is recorded via a failure peg
counter. The peg counter has a limit of 65,000. At the end of the test, the Test
Results message will indicate how many failures, if any, occurred during the
test.
