LDM 150 Quick Start Guide
Thank you for purchasing this Johnson laser distance
meter, the fastest way to dimension your jobsite.
LDM's excel at measuring where a tape measure can't
and are indispensable tools for measuring and layout
on your jobsite.
The LDM150 features:
• IP54 (dust and rain proof) construction.
• 1/16" accuracy certification per ISO16331-1
standards.
• Jobsite durability - the LDM 150 can survive a 3'
drop onto concrete without losing accuracy!
• Addition and subtraction modes.
• Indirect measurement modes for difficult to
measure lengths.
GETTING STARTED
1. Install 2xAAA batteries.
2. Power on the LDM by pressing
3. Hold for 3 seconds to check battery life.
4. Set the zero reference point to the front or rear of the tool. Press
until the desired reference is shown on the screen.
FRONT: The zero point is
taken from the front edge.
5. Press to set the measurement unit.
6. Hold to adjust the volume to high, low or off.
7. Press repeatedly to select the operating mode. See OPERATING
MODES for more details on the available modes.
8. Press to take a measurement.

POWER: While off, press to power on. While on, press to change
units or press and hold to power off.
MEASURE: While off, press to power on. While on, press to take a
measurement. Press and hold to enter continuous measure mode.
REFERENCE: Press to change the measurement reference (zero
point) to either the front of the tool or the rear of the tool.
MODE: Press to change operating mode. Press and hold to change
the sound (high/low/off).
ADD/SUBTRACT: Used to perform arithmetic calculations on
different measurements.
