Air Filter
Dirty air filters reduce engine power,
increase fuel consumption and
make starting more difficult.
If there is a noticeable loss of
engine power, check to see if the
air filter is plugged with dirt.
– Before removing the air filter,
close the choke shutter and
remove all loose dirt from around
the filter.
– Install a new filter. As a temporary
measure, knock the filter out on
the palm of your hand or blow
clear with compressed air. Do not
wash.
Replace a damaged air filter
immediately.
