The printer cannot print.
"There was an error
writing to BRPRT: (or

For DOS users

For Apple Macintosh Computer users
Problem
Unable to print from
application software.
Recommendation
Check that the printer cable is not damaged or
broken.
If you have an interface switching device, make sure
the correct printer is selected.
Close the 'Resource Manager' and turn the printer
power switch off and on again.
Recommendation
Check that the DOS application software interface
settings match that of your printer : for example, if
you are using a parallel printer cable, you would most
likely set your DOS software printer port to LPT1.
Check if the printer has any printer alarms active.
Check that the appropriate printer is selected in your
application software.
Recommendation
Make sure that the supplied Macintosh printer driver
is installed in the System Folder and it is selected
with Chooser.
Check the PORT selection within the Chooser : It
should match the port to which you physically
attached the printer cable.
