    Tektronix has tested a wide variety of media with the Phaser 140. The media offered by Tektronix for the Phaser 140 has been found to provide the best image quality, drying time, and resistance to curling. However, in some environments the media may curl.

    Phaser 140 Service Supplement Open the cover. Apply a few drops of oil to each rail (use FLOIL; Tektronix order number 006-7436-00). Execute any printer operation that will cause the carriage to move across the rails and distribute the oil. For example, printing a test print will do this.

Remove the two screws securing the image processor board to the printer. Slide the image processor board out of the printer.

    Phaser 140 Service Supplement Image processor board replacement instructions This instruction sheet provides details for replacing the printer’s image processor board. Static electricity precautions Leave the printer plugged into its power outlet. This preserves a ground path for static discharges.

At the connector holding the network card, release the metal pawls or clips securing the card in the connector. Insert the network card in the network card connector of the new image processor board (a), and tilt the card down until it locks in place (b).
