Troubleshooting in Factory Mode

Selecting tests

In Factory Mode, you can choose from 32 tests. You can only run one test each
time you enter Factory Mode. To leave Factory Mode without executing any
test, press the POWER button to turn off the printer.
There is no visual indication of what test has been selected. Each time you press
a key or button to step through the tests, the printer produces an audible tone;
count the tones to determine what test you are on.
1.
Press the right arrow key to step through the tests. To step back
through the tests, press the POWER button while holding down the
right ( ⇒ ) arrow key.
2.
Count the tones to determine what test you are on; press the POWER
button to select the test. The printer produces a different audible tone
to confirm the selection.
3.
If the test has a sub-menu, press the POWER button to enter the
sub-menu. Press the right ( ⇒ ) arrow key to step through the
sub-menu items. Again, the printer produces audible tones as you
step through each test; count the tones to determine what test you
are on. Press the POWER button to enter the sub-menu test.
