Test Description
The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the
diagnostic table.
3. This step tests ignition voltage.
5. This step tests for turbine speed not remaining at zero
in 5th range.

1 Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?
2 Measure the transmission fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Checking
Procedure .
Is the transmission fluid level correct?
3 1. Install the scan tool.
2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
IMPORTANT:

Is the voltage within the specified range?
4 1. Drive the vehicle under normal operating conditions.
2. Using the scan tool, monitor engine, turbine and output-speed readings.
Is speed sensor data erratic?
