To mount the planing tables, perform the following (figure 6):
● loosen thumb nuts 26 and 45;
● pull the locking clamp 28 (horizontally), holding it from the bottom and lower the
tables by moving the handle-levers 46 and 49;
● fix the outfeed table with thumb nut 26;
● mount the bracket 9 with guard 8.
To set the planing depth, perform the following (figure 6):
● loosen the screw 45 of loading table 25;
● set the loading table to the required planing depth (0-3 mm) by up/down moving the
handle-lever 46 locating under the table and by matching the aligner 47 of the loading
table with the required value of scale 48 (figure 11);
● fix the loading table in this position by tightening the thumb nut 45.
Guard 8 is designed for covering of the part of rotating cutter-block that locates out of
processing point (noneffective cutter-block part) during the machine operation (figure 6).
While full-width planning, the guard 8 should be moved away by the required planing width.
To move the guard 8 to the required position, perform the following:
● loosen the thumbscrews 41;
● move the guard 8 in the direction of arrows 8a;
● tighten the thumbscrews 41.
After operation and during working breaks the guard 8 should completely
cover the cutter-block.
Combined fence is designed for the orientation of a processed blank against the cutter-
block and provides its straight moving.
Assembling and mounting of the combined fence are described in sub-item 10.1.3.
Set the combined fence 3f and the plate 3s as displayed on figure 12. The combined fence
3f can be set perpendicular or at an angle to the table.
To set the guide fence 3f at an angle, loosen the two thumbscrews 3g, set the fence to the
required angle using the scale 51, tighten the thumbscrews 3g. The guide fence 3f should
adjoin the outfeed table (at any angle).
The scale 51 is adjustable. To adjust it, align the fence using a square rule providing 90°
angle, loosen the screws 3t, set the "zero" position using the pointer, tighten the screws. The
same procedure is performed when adjusting the scale on the other side.
Clamping device 17 (figures 13, 14) is designed for safe processing of blanks not less than
60 mm thick. Supplied disassembled. Assembling of the clamping device is performed
according to figure 14. To fix the clamping device use the screws 69 and washers 69a.
