By screwing/unscrewing the screws 77 with hexagon wrench, adjust the knives 74 so that the
knife edge contacts the guide fence 3f mounted on outfeed table 24 (figure 10).
Fix the knife by screwing the clamp screws 76 (М6×12). After final screws tightening check
the correctness of knife mounting and repeat it if necessary.
The correctly mounted knives should slightly (up to 0,1 mm) contact the lower fence edge
(figure 10) with their cutting edges. Н – required planing depth.
The machine is started by the switch 50 (figure 2) after preparation and adjustment for a
required processing type. Switch is located on turnable control panel 62, which allows setting
the two positions:
● first – for operation in surface planing and sawing mode. Turnable control panel with
the switch is placed in accessible working area to the left from loading table 25;
● second – for operation in milling mode. Turnable control panel with the switch is turned
and set in full right position in accessible working area.
To change position, loosen the thumbscrew 43 (figure 1), turn the control panel with the
switch and fix it again with the thumbscrew.
To start the machine, perform the following:
● plug the machine into power line;
● loose and open the switch cover and press the green button.
To stop the machine, perform the following:
● press the red button;
● or close the switch cover.
Starting time of the machine does not exceed 5 seconds. If the machine fails to start, switch
it OFF. In case of start failure perform the starting procedure again in at least 1 minute.
After operation or during working breaks the switch cover should be closed.
Normal operating conditions of a machine for processing of medium hardness wood at
maximal depth and width and manual loading of blank into processing point, at a single
pass: when planing – 1.5 m/min, when sawing – 1 m/min.
11.1 Surface planing, edging and angular planing (edge planing)
Before starting the operation, prepare and adjust the machine:
mount the planing tables;
● set the planing depth;
● mount the guarding;
● mount he combined fence (if necessary);
● mount the clamping device (if necessary).
To set the planing mode, lower the saw blade below the saw table level till the
indicator point matches the "min" mark of blade depth scale (sub-item 11.2.2).
