Installation

The assembly and the installation of the device must be carried out by a
specialist who is familiar with the hazards and the relevant regulations.
Repairs, operation and maintenance of the product may only be carried out
by qualified personnel.
W hen choosing a location for your device, make sure to avoid vibration,
dust, hot and cold temperatures and dampness. Furthermore, keep the prod-
uct away from strong transformers or motors.
T he light effect may only be operated in locations where the ambient tem-
perature is less than 60 °C.
T he device must be mounted out of normal reach.
I lluminated objects must be at least 0.5 m away from the device's light out-
let. Easily-flammable materials, such as decorative fabrics, must be at least
0.5 m from the device. Otherwise, such materials may catch fire!
D uring installation and servicing, the area below the installation site must
be cordoned off.
T he installation surface, or mounting fixture, must be designed so that it
can withstand ten times the loading capacity for at least one hour without
permanent damaging deformation.
I t is also essential that the device is secured by means of a second safety
restraint, which is separate from the proper mounting supports, when it is
installed in an elevated position. If the main supports fail, no part of the
installation should be able to fall down.
• Install the light effect device using a mounting bracket on the ceiling or the wall.
When installing it, make sure that the device cannot swing freely.
• Secure the device with fastenings that are compatible with the fastening surface
and suitable for carrying the weight of the light effect device.
• Secure the installation with an additional suitable safety restraint cable or net. The
safety restraint cable or net must be capable of supporting the light effect device in
the event of a fault in the main support system.
• Set the desired angle of inclination and then tighten the stirrup bolts.
Mains connection
C onnect the light effect device only to a normal mains socket connected to
the public supply.
B e careful when handling the mains cables and mains connectors. Mains
voltage can cause serious electric shocks, which can be fatal.
M ake sure that the current designation for the light effect device agrees
with the mains voltage of your power supply. Never try to operate the de-
vice with any other voltage.
M ake sure that the connecting cable is not pinched or damaged by sharp
edges when making the connection.
T he mains socket to which the device is connected must be nearby and
easily accessible, so the device can be quickly isolated from the mains
power supply in the event of a fault.
Plug the mains plug into a wall mains socket.

Operation

After connecting the mains plug to the power grid, the device is ready for use.
The mode is selected by using the function switch on the back of the device.
Position OFF
Device is switched off.
Position AUTO RUN
Automatic blink mode
Position SOUND CONTROL
Sound-to-light control. The light effect changes with the beat of the music.
The sensitivity of this control can be adjusted with the SOUND SENSITIVITY
dial.
Handling
• Never operate the device with damaged housing or missing covers.
• Never plug the power plug into a mains socket immediately after the device was
taken from a cold to a warm environment. The condensation that forms might dam-
age the device. Allow the device to reach room temperature before connecting it.
Wait until the condensation has evaporated.
• Never pull the mains plug by pulling the cable from the socket. Always only use the
grip area intended for this purpose.
• Always disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket if the device is not going
to be used for a while.
• For safety reasons, always unplug the mains plug from the socket during a thunder-
storm.
• To ensure sufficient ventilation, never cover the device. In addition, the air circula-
tion must not be obstructed by objects such as magazines, tablecloths, curtains or
similar items.
Maintenance and care
B efore cleaning the light effect, disconnect it from the power supply (un-
plug the plug!).
M ake absolutely sure that the inside of the device does not get wet or
damp.
The outside of the device should be cleaned with a soft, slightly damp cloth or dry
brush.
Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions as these may damage
the surface of the case.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste materials and must not be disposed
of in the household waste!
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statu-
tory regulations.
