POST-ASSEMBLY
USING THE SMOKESTATION™ WOOD-CHIP SMOKER
Follow these instructions for best results when smoking foods using the SmokeStation™
wood-chip drawer feature of this grill:
• Only use wood chips sold for use in outdoor grills.
• Follow the wood chip manufacturer's instructions for soaking and using on gas grills.
• Only operate the grill in the "Smoke" range noted on the temperature gauge. Higher
temperatures are more likely to ignite the wood chips.
• For best flavor, add water-soaked wood chips at beginning of grilling time and keep
SmokeStation™ burner at the lowest possible setting.
• Do not overfill the SmokeStation™ drawer. This may cause drawer binding.
• Monitor wood chips every 10 to 15 minutes. If chips become charred, place additional
water-soaked wood chips on top.
• WARNING! Fire Hazard: If the wood chips ignite, do not pull out the SmokeStation™
drawer. Turn off all burners and douse the wood chips with water to extinguish them.
• CAUTION! Burn Hazard. Do not fully remove the drawer while it is hot.

USING THE CULINARY BASKETS AND TRAY

Place culinary baskets and tray in upper positions for lower temperature grilling or directly on
grill grates for higher temperature grilling. Cleanup is easy with these dishwasher-safe baskets.
• Culinary baskets and tray are great for grilling vegetables, seafood, fruit, or small foods that
would fall through the grilling grates.
• Use cooking spray or lightly brush baskets and tray with oil to prevent food from sticking.
• Keep grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, and other foods warm in baskets and tray while you finish
grilling.
• Use the tray to warm your favorite sliced bread or rolls.
• To make a steaming tray, nest a perforated basket inside the tray. Pour 1 cup (250 ml) water
into basket. When water boils, add marinated vegetables, fish, shrimp, or scallops to basket
to steam.
