Set-up/Basic settings

Selecting the language

Use this menu to select the language used for the displays and for route guid-
ance by the navigation system. Nine languages are available. For English you
can select between Metric (distances in kilometres) and Imperial (distance in
miles).
Activate the Set-up menu.
Select the menu item LANGUAGE .
Press OK 8.
A list indicating the languages available will appear.
Select the language you want and
Press OK 8 to confirm your selection.
The system will load the new language. When this process has been completed,
you will hear a corresponding spoken message from the navigation system if a
navigation CD is inserted. The system will switch back to the Set-up menu.

Calibrating the system

The Install-Set-up menu will provide you with all of the necessary information to
start up the TravelPilot after it has been installed.

Calibrating the system after its installation (New install)

If you have installed the system yourself, it will be necessary to calibrate the
system and adapt it to the vehicle.
Mark the menu item NEW INSTALL in the Set-up menu Install,
Press OK 8.
The information on the display will guide you through the installation. Follow
these instructions. The TravelPilot will do a system test first.
