PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE

PrimeRoyal pumps are carefully designed, manufactured, assembled and quality tested to give
reliable service with minimal maintenance. However, a daily maintenance check is recommended to
visually confirm proper operation of the pump.
Packing
If an automatic oiler is used, monitor normal lubricant consumption and refill the reservoir before
it becomes empty.
If other external lubricant is used, lubricate the plunger packing daily with a lubricant compatible
with the liquid being pumped. Do not add any other kind of lubricant to the packing.
Check Valves
Check valve assemblies are designed to be self-cleaning by pumping a hot detergent
solution for 15 minutes, followed by water flushing.
