Accelerometer Self Test can verify the sensor functionality completely. It verifies that the sensor can
communicate with the engine and that healthy data is available from all 3 axes.
The component's logic circuitry is tested by reading the manufacturer ID from the sensor register. Interrupt/
Data Ready signal is also tested by forcing it to change state during the self test.
The component's sensor element functionality is tested with two measurements. The first measurement is
for a static (no movement) situation and the second measurement is made when sensor elements are
deflected using the sensor's internal self test function. The difference between these two measurements is
then compared to the inbuilt limits in the self test code of the phone. Note that if the phone is not stable
during the self test, the test may fail because the first measurement is not for a static situation as it should.
