After pressing the P1 key, the keypad will confirm the acquisition of the interface and display
Acquired Modules=1. Now the acquisition menu can be left by pressing the X key and the
module can be configured as shown in the following paragraphs.
3.4 - MOD-WL16 module cancellation
The module can be removed from the devices of the DEFENDER control unit through the
installer menu as shown in the previous figure. See the item Modules – Auxiliary Modules –
Delete Module– EXP. WIRELESS 0 - confirm.
4 - PROGRAMMING
The module MOD-WL16 must be programmed through the T8N keypad from the menu of the
DEFENDER control panel. The interface can acquire 16 wireless inputs , 16 remote controls and
8 wireless outputs.
4.1 – Device acquisition
To start the acquisition of new devices, select the Learning item from the device menu.

After starting the acquisition mode:
1. Insert the battery into the device paying attention to the polarity.
The LEDs will switch on (green and red) for about half a second.
2. Press the device tamper switch once to transmit the radio signal to the control panel. If the
recognition procedure is successful, the device data and its "House Address" will be shown
on the control panel display. If the device is not recognized by the control panel after the first
attempt, press again the tamper switch. After the proper recognition of the device, it will switch
automatically to the communication mode.
3. Bring the device to the chosen installation place to carry out the radio test and check the
quality of the radio signal. Press the tamper switch once. If the green LED flashes 2 or 3 times,
the signal quality is good and the device can be installed in the chosen position. If the green
LED flashes once (or does not flash), the radio signal is weak: choose another position for the
installation.
4. Install the device following the user manual instructions. Mount the device cover paying
attention to the tamper switch. It takes 5 seconds after closing to let the device leave the Test
mode automatically and start the normal functioning.
