01 Safety Precaution DANGER! • High voltage danger. Please keep Power Off before any operations on the equipment in the battery system. Strictly follow all safety precautions outlined in this manual and safety labels on the equipment. • All installation operations should be performed by trained and knowledgeable technical personnel who are familiar with local standards, electric systems, and Lynx products. • Do not use the battery module or the power control unit if it is defective, broken, or damaged. • Do not disassemble, modify, or replace any part of the battery module without official authorization from GOODWE. • The damaged battery module may leak electrolyte. Do not contact with the liquid leakage or volatile matter. Please contact GoodWe Technical Support for help immediately. WARNING! Anyone contact the leaked substance accidentlly has to do as following: • Breath in the leaked substance: Evacuate from the polluted area, and seek immediate medical assistance. • Eye contact: Rinse your eyes for at least 15 minutes with clean water and seek immediate medical assistance. • Skin contact: Thoroughly wash the touch area with soap and clean water, and seek immediate medical assistance. • Ingestion: Induce vomiting, and seek immediate medical assistance. • Do not move the battery system if it is connected with external battery expansion modules.
02 Product Introduction 2.1 Product Description • This manual introduces Lynx Home S Series ( HV) Battery System (hereinafter referred to as the Battery System), including the product introduction, application, installation, commission, maintenance and technical parameters, etc. • The Battery System consists of the LX S2.5-H Battery Module (hereinafter referred to as the Battery Module) and the LX S-H Power Control Unit (hereinafter referred to as the PCU). • The Battery System can match with GOODWE ET、 BT、 EH、 BH、 EHB、 HSB series inverters. 03 Battery System Parts Introduction 3.1 Battery System Appearance First Row Second Row Parts 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 Battery Module 10,11 Upper Cover • At most 4 Battery Modules and 1 PCU can be installed in one row. • Install the Battery Modules in 2 rows if there are 5-8 Battery Modules. • Ensure that the PCU is installed above the Battery Module. Do not install any Battery Modules above the PCU. • This manual will show you the installation and cable connection of a Battery System consists of 8 Battery Modules.

04 Storage and Package 4.1 Storage Environment If the equipment is not to be installed or used immediately, please ensure that the storage environment meets the following requirements: • Pack the equipment with a packing box and put some desiccant in the box before sealing. • Put the equipment back to the packing box if it is not to be installed in 3 days after unpacking. • Storage SOC: 25%~50%SOC. Charge and discharge the Battery Module every 3 months. • Recommended storage temperature: -20℃~45℃ (less than one month) or 0℃~35℃ (less than one year). • Storage humidity: 0%~90%RH (no condensation). Do not install the equipment if moisture penetrates ports. • Place the equipment in a cool place where away from direct sunlight. • Keep the equipment away from inflammable, explosive, and corrosive things. • Keep the equipment away from the rain. 4.2 Packing List The Battery System consists of the Battery Module, the PCU, and the accessory bag. Check outer packing for damage and model before unpacking it. If you find any damage or the model is not what you requested, do not unpack the product and contact the after-sales service as soon as possible. Check whether the deliverables are intact and complete first after unpacking the battery. If anything wrong, contact the after-sales service as soon as possible. 05 Battery System Installation 5.1 Installation Environment • Install the Battery System on the ground with sufficient bearing capacity and flatness. Increase the bearing capacity and flatness of the ground by laying the foundation, adding bearing plates and so on. • The optimal working temperature for the Battery System is 20~40℃. • Avoid exposing the equipment to direct sunlight or rain. • Install the equipment away from heat/cold source. • Do not install the equipment in the place where the temperature changes extremely. • Install the equipment away from strong interferences. • Install the equipment far away from children. • Do not install the equipment in places prone to accumulate water. • Do not put inflammable or explosive matters near the equipment. 5.2 Installation Environment Requirement ≥300mm ≥300mm ≥300mm ≥300mm ≥300mm...
5.3 Battery System Installation • Number stickers are pasted on the outer package of the Battery Module. For example, 1-1, 1-2,1-3..1-7 are in the same group. • Check the number sticker on the package before unpacking to make sure that they are in the same group.Battery Modules with number from different groups like 1-1 and 2-1 cannot be connected in one battery system. 1.Hold the battery handle to take the Battery Module out. 2.Remove the decorative plate. 3.Install the locking bracket. 3.5 N·M...

4.Install battery brackets on both sides. • Install the battery bracket for the Battery Module at the bottom only • Put the Battery Module cling to the wall and the bottom of the Battery Module cling to the ground. • Watch out Battery Modules dropping. 3.5 N·M 5.Put one Battery Module on the floor or on the installed Battery Module securely. Mark the drilling hole using a marker, then remove the Battery Module. 6.Drill a hole on the wall (diameter 10mm and depth 80mm). Shelter the equipment using paperboards when drilling to avoid dust. 7.Screw the expansion bolts to fix the Battery Module. Tightening torque:10N.m. 8.Repeat step 1 to step 7 to install the second, third and forth Battery Module from bottom to top.

5.4.2 Grounding Cable Connection Connect the PE cable first before installing the equipment. Disconnect the PE cable before dismantling the equipment. The cross-sectional area of the PE cable conductor: 5mm . The cable should meet standards for outdoor use. The drawing force of the cable after crimping should be at least 400N. All Battery Modules and power control units should be grounded separately. 1. Crimping with grounding terminals at both ends. L2=L1+1~2mm 2. Grounding Connection Diagram 5.4.3 Power Cable Connection Connect Battery Module power cables in series, which means connect the negative pole of the Battery Module to the positive pole of the next module. Connect power cables between the PCU and the Battery Module in parallel, which means connect postive pole of the PCU power cable to positive pole of the Battery Module, and negative pole to negative pole. Do not short-circuit positive and negative pole of the Battery Module when installing because there is no switch in a single Battery Module. Power off the Battery System before connecting the power cable to avoid high voltage danger. The drawing force of the power cable is at least 1200N after crimping. Put the seal ring of the waterproof joint in the plastic ring. Do not disassemble the seal cap if the waterproof joint is not connected to the cable. The cross-sectional area of the power cable conductor: 25mm .The cable should meet standards for outdoor use. 1.Make the power cable used to connect the PCU and the Battery Module. • If there are 5-8 Battery Modules in the Battery System, the power cable between two rows of Battery Modules should be decided according to the actual situation. 06 Battery System Operation 6.1 Check Before Power ON Check the following items before power on. Otherwise, the Battery System may be damaged. Items The equipment is installed firmly in a place where is convenient for operation and maintenance. The installation place is clean and well ventilated. The ground cable, power cable, communication cable and terminal resistance are connected correctly and securely. The cable ties meet the cabling requirements and are reasonably distributed. No cables or ties are broken. Unused ports are sealed. 6.2 Power ON 1. Remove the decorative board of the PCU.

LX S-H "Battery Communication Failure" will be displayed if you select the wrong battery model. Please select the right battery model accordingly, otherwise, the equipment cannnot be used normally.
6.6 Install the Upper Cover 1.Close the protective cover of the circuit breaker. 2.Install the covers of the Battery Module and the PCU. Check the following before connecting the switch of the PCU. • The ground cable, power cable, and communication cable are connected correctly and securely. • The cable ties meet the cabling requirements and are reasonably distributed. Also, the ties are tightly tied without sharp corners. • Place the inverter in a reasonable space where is clean, tidy, and no construction debris. 3.Install the decorative board. Do not extrude the cables when installing the decorative board. 4.Install the bracket on the Battery Module and the PCU using M5 screws, torque 3.5N.m. 5.Install the cover on the Battery Module and the PCU using M4 screws, torque 1.6N.m.
08 Maintenance Item Period Fully charge the Battery Module and discharge it to 25%~50% if Once Every 3 months the Battery Module is not in use. Check the wall mounting plate, fix it if it is not secured. Once Every 6 months Check whether the outer shell is broken. Repair the painting or Once Every 6 months contact after-sales service if there is any broken. Check whether there is an exposed cable. Replace the exposed Once Every 6 months cable or contact after-sales service for help. Check whether there is debris accumulation around the Battery Once Every 6 months Module to avoid affecting heat dissipation. Check for water and pest to avoid prolonged intrusion. Once Every 6 months • Please contact After-sales Service for help if you find any problems that may influence the Battery Module or the inverter. Disassemble without permission is strictly forbidden. • Please contact after-sales for help if the conductive wire is exposed because high voltage danger exists. Do not touch or disassemble privately. • In case of other emergencies, contact the after-sales as soon as possible. Please operate following the guidance of the after-sales, or just wait for the after-sales service operators.
09 Appendix Quick Drilling Paperboard (Top) • Holes on the wall are equispaced(rectangular distribution) • Required torque for plastic expansion screw: 10±10%N.m. • The floor must be horizontal when drilling holes in a stacking way. • The paperboards have to be placed cling to the ground and avoid longitudinal tilt.
