9.3 Configuring of I/O Modules

9.3.1 Overview

It is recommended to use an Ethernet switch to connect the Ethernet port of the I/O Module to the
computer, as shown in the

9.3.2 Installing the Configuration Software

For the module IP address setting, you will need to use the ADAM.NET Utility software
ADAM support CD.
Before installing ADAM.NET Utility, you need to install .NET Framework 1.1 or later!

9.3.3 IP Address Setting

After you have confirmed the hardware wiring between host PC and your ADAM-6000 module, you
can find that module in ADAM.NET Utility software by following the steps below:
1.
Launch ADAM.NET Utility software.
2.
Select the <ADAM5000TCP_6000> item
3.
Right click the <ADAM5000TCP_6000> item and activate <Search>. ADAM.NET Utility will
then search all ADAM-6000 modules on the Ethernet network. You will find it showing on the
<Others> item
