1. INTRODUCTION

Each heavy-duty electric hydraulic pump (shown in Figure 1) is a portable power source that uses a handle
control or foot control to activate the unit. The unit combines the convenience of a hand tool with the power of a
large machine used for the application of terminals and splices onto large wire sizes. Quick-disconnect
couplers are used to install a hydraulic hose and crimping head (available separately) to the pump to form a
complete unit.
Read the following instructions carefully before operating the unit. The performance of the unit depends largely
on information contained in this customer manual and operator training and skill.
When reading this manual, pay particular attention to DANGER, CAUTION, NOTE statements.
