    409-10094 3. OPERATING PRECAUTIONS 3.1. Precautions for the Rechargeable Pump 1. When connecting the coupler, be sure that no foreign objects are attached. If the coupler has become dirty, clean it carefully before connecting it. Engaging the coupler when foreign objects are present will damage the seals and lead to oil leakage from the connection.

    409-10094 4. OPERATION 4.1. Battery Charging Instructions 1. Insert the plug end of the charger into a 120 Vac power source. The LED indicator on the charger will flash red, indicating that the charger is in “stand by” mode and is ready to charge a battery. DO NOT plug the charger into a generator.

    409-10094 4.6. Guide to Crimping Capacity This guide corresponds to battery cartridge number 1804113-1, only. In addition these figures are approximate and can vary according to charging and crimping conditions. When the crimping cycles are reduced to approximately 1/2 the normal cycle, this indicates that the battery life is exhausted and the battery should be replaced a with a new one.

    409-10094 5.3. Semi-Annual Maintenance Completely replace the hydraulic oil every six months. Shell T5 Hydraulic Oil is recommended. NEVER use vegetable oil or brake oil with this pump. CAUTION If the tool is maintained regularly and correctly, it should provide trouble-free service. If a problem does occur, contact the Tooling Assistance Center (see the bottom front page).
