housing before use.
TO AssEMBlE BlOWER TUBEs
1. Align the upper tube

to the upper tube as shown in Fig. C.
2. Push the upper tube firmly onto the blower, until the lock
engages and an audible click is heard.
3. Then push the lower tube firmly into the upper tube, until
the lock engages and an audible click is heard.
4. Pull on the tubes to ensure they are securely in place.
nOTE: To remove either tube, insert a screwdriver into the
unlocking hole on the housing. Lift the tab inside and pull
tube out.

injury, turn tool off and disconnect battery pack
before making any adjustments or removing/
installing attachments or accessories. An accidental
start-up can cause injury.
Proper Hand Position (Fig. A, D)

ALWAYS use proper hand position as shown.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal
injury, ALWAYS hold securely in anticipation of a
sudden reaction.
Hold the handle 
with one hand. as shown in figure F.

Switching On (Fig. A)

CAUTION: Do not point unit discharge at self
or bystanders.

CAUTION: Always wear safety glasses. Wear a filter mask
if the operation is dusty. Use of gloves, long pants and
substantial footwear is recommended. Keep long hair and
loose clothing away from openings and moving parts.
1. To turn the blower on, depress the variable speed trigger 
2. Release the trigger to turn the blower off.
To lock the blower on, pull back on the cruise control
lever 
. The blower runs at higher speeds as the lever is

moved further. The cruise control lever can also be pulled
back to start the blower without needing to first depress the
variable speed trigger.
To turn the blower off when using the speed lock lever, push
the lever toward the front of the blower.
Hold the blower with one hand as shown in Figure D and
sweep from side to side with the tube assembly several
inches above the hard surface. Slowly advance keeping the
accumulated pile of debris in front of you.

MAINTENANCE

Your STANLEY FATMAX power tool has been designed
to operate over a long period of time with a minimum of
to the blower and the lower tube 
maintenance. Continuous satisfactory operation depends upon
proper tool care and regular cleaning.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal
injury, turn tool off and disconnect battery pack

start-up can cause injury.
The charger and battery pack are not serviceable.
Lubrication
Your power tool requires no additional lubrication.
Cleaning

WARNING: Blow dirt and dust out of the main housing
with dry air as often as dirt is seen collecting in and around
the air vents. Wear approved eye protection and approved
dust mask when performing this procedure.

WARNING: Never use solvents or other harsh chemicals
for cleaning the non-metallic parts of the tool. These
chemicals may weaken the materials used in these parts.
Use a cloth dampened only with water and mild soap.
Never let any liquid get inside the tool; never immerse any
part of the tool into a liquid.
Optional Accessories

WARNING: Since accessories, other than those offered by
STANLEY FATMAX, have not been tested with this product,
use of such accessories with this tool could be hazardous.
To reduce the risk of injury, only STANLEY FATMAX
recommended accessories should be used with
this product.
Consult your dealer for further information on the
appropriate accessories.
Protecting the Environment
Separate collection. Products and batteries marked
with this symbol must not be disposed of with normal
household waste.

Rechargeable Battery Pack
This long life battery pack must be recharged when it fails to
produce sufficient power on jobs which were easily done before.
At the end of its technical life, discard it with due care for our

Run the battery pack down completely, then remove it from
the tool.
