    GM-1000 User Guide 1. Preface About This Guide This guide provides information on the QNAP GM-1000 NAS and step-by-step instructions on installing the hardware. It also provides instructions on basic operations and troubleshooting information. Audience This document is intended for storage administrators. This guide assumes that the user is knowledgeable and qualified to install, maintain, and troubleshoot issues involving servers, server components, and storage systems.

    This chapter provides basic information about the QNAP device. About the GM-1000 The GM-1000 is a ZFS NAS designed to provide efficient data backup and hybrid cloud solutions for enterprises. The dual NAS comprises two replaceable nodes, where the GM-1001 has a 3.6 GHz for each CPU base frequency and the GM-1002 has a 3.4 for each CPU base frequency.
