4. Sending and Receiving

4.1 Composing Messages and Faxes

When you compose an email message, the message is stored in the Outbox. When
you connect with the PocketMail Service, all messages in your Outbox are sent
automatically.

For an explanation of basic navigation and editing functions, see Section 3.2.
To compose an email message:
1. Press
. The compose message screen appears with the cursor in the To
field.
2. Type in the email address of the person you will send the message to or use
the lookup feature from the address book as described in Section 3.5.3.
You can send a message to more than one person at a time, as
described in Section 4.1.4.
3. Press
to move up to the From field. Your PocketMail address is inserted
here as a default. You can type in a different email address than your
PocketMail address if you'd like the recipient to respond to a different
account. For more information, see Section 5.5.
4. Press
to move to the Cc field. Enter an address, or addresses, to which
you want to send a copy of this message.
For information on how to retrieve addresses from the Address Book,
see Section 3.5.3.
5. Press
to move to the Sub field, and type in the subject of the message.
This should be a brief description that gives the recipient an idea about the
contents of your message.
6. Press
to move to the body of the message, and type in the contents.
