4.2 Storage

5 Functional Description

The TIG welding torch is part of a welding system. In combination with appropriate operating
resources, the arc is used for welding. In TIG welding, a tungsten electrode and an inert gas are
used. The molten pool and the arc are protected by the inert gas from atmospheric
interferences. The electrode holder or gas diffuser is used to transmit current to the tungsten
electrode. The ignition of the arc depends on the type of power supply and will therefore not
be described any further. The hose assembly serves as supply line and included the connection
elements.

Transport
Use the delivery note to check that everything has
been delivered.
Check the delivery for damage (visual inspection).
If the delivery has been damaged during transporta-
tion, contact the last carrier immediately. Retain the
packaging for potential inspection by the carrier.
Where possible, use the original packaging and the
original packaging material. If you have any ques-
tions about the packaging and/or how to secure an
item during shipment, please consult your supplier.
