External Antenna Connectors
The AP305CX has four male RP-SMA connectors for attaching dual-band dipole antennas. You can provide your own
antennas, or you can order them from Extreme Networks (AH-ACC-ANT-AX-KT).
The antenna kit contains four articulated 2.4/5 GHz antennas with a 3/5-dBi gain. These antennas are omnidirectional,
providing fairly equal coverage in all directions in a toroidal (doughnut-shaped) pattern. For greater coverage on a
horizontal plane, it is best to orient the antennas vertically. The articulated antennas hinge and swivel so that you can easily
do this, whether the AP is mounted horizontally or vertically.
