- Page 2 Intended use: The “ADD ON expansion head” Model SH-EXP is intended for use in the Twin, Triple, SF, DF and DP High Flow series modular manifolds for filtering potable water for foodservice equipment and has not been evaluated for other uses.
- Page 3 • Install with the inlet and outlet ports as labeled. Make sure not to reverse connections. • Some local codes may require the use of a licensed plumber or certified installer when disrupting a potable water line. Parts included for “ADD ON expansion head” Model SH-EXP, part number (6235201): (1) Modular conversion head and bracket (Assembled)
- Page 4 STEP 1 Turn water filtration system inlet water shut off valve to the “OFF” position. Example of a Modular Manifold STEP 2 Open faucet down stream to relieve pressure or if the water filtration system is already vented with plastic tubing to drain, turn vent valve lever to open. This will also relieve pressure.
- Page 5 Existing Manifold After removing retention clips, remove front and rear fittings by rotating while pulling out and towards the right. Insert same front and rear fittings directly into the same port of the SH-EXP expansion head. Complete by installing front and rear retention clips. (Refer to photo). STEP 5 Remove the double ended connectors (2) from SH-EXP expansion head fitting kit.
- Page 6 Equipment Start-up Procedure Install cartridges into manifold. Inlet Water Pressurize system by slowly turning water filtration Shut Off Valve system inlet shut off valve to the “ON” position. Close vent valve. Check system for leaks. Flush system in accordance with cartridge performance data sheet or flush instructions supplied with original system.
- Page 7 Limited Warranty: 3M Purification Inc. warrants SH-EXP only to be free from defects in material and workmanship for five (5) years from the date of purchase. The disposable filter cartridge is warranted from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover failures resulting from abuse, misuse, alterations or damage not caused by 3M Purification Inc.
