Take the time to thoroughly read and understand this
manual prior to operation.
Description (Fig. A)
WARNING: Never modify the power tool or any
part of it. Damage or personal injury could result.

4 Guard
5 Spindle lock

ELECTRICAL SAFETY

Only one voltage is applicable to this tool. Be sure to check
that the power supply corresponds to the voltage on the rating
plate.
Your Stanley tool is equipped with double
insulation, hence, it does not require to be
earthed
When the power cord is damaged, have it sent to a STANLEY
service center for replacement to specially prepared cables.

USING AN EXTENSION CABLE
If an extension cable is required, use an approved 3–core
extension cable suitable for the power input of this tool (see
Technical Data).The minimum conductor size is 1.5 mm2; the
maximum length is 30 m.
When using a cable reel, always unwind the cable completely.

ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENT

WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal
injury, turn tool off and disconnect tool from power
source before making any adjustments or
removing/installing attachments or accessories. Before
reconnecting the tool, depress and release the trigger switch
to ensure that the tool is off. An accidental start-up can cause
injury.
Attaching the Side Handle (Fig. F)
WARNING: Before using the tool, check that the
handle is tightened securely.
WARNING: The side handle should always be
used to maintain control of the tool at all times.
Screw the side handle (3) tightly into one of the
holes (15) on thrin side of the gear case.
Mounting and Removing the Guard
WARNING: Guards must be used with this
grinder.
Mounting (FIG. B & C)
Place the angle grinder on a table, spindle up.
Align the lug (6) with the slot (7) in the bracket.
Press the guard (4) down and turn it in the direction of the
arrow (Fig. B).
Removing (FIG. B & C)
Hold the tool in your hand.
Loosen the screw 9 on the guard collar.
Rotate the guard until the luglocates in the slot.
Release the guard.
Attaching and Removing Grinding Wheels
(Fig. D, E)
Warning: Do not use damaged grinding wheels.
Place the tool on a work bench, groove facing up.
Attach the inner flange(11) correctly on the output
shaft(12) Fig. D
