should not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance
should not be performed by children unless they are older than 8

• Take the necessary precautions to prevent children playing with
the appliance.
• The appliance must be kept out of reach of animals, children or
unfit persons; do not leave the appliance unattended when it is
connected to the power source.
• Always unplug the appliance from the mains when left unattended
and before assembly, disassembly, cleaning the accessories
(nozzles, brushes, hoses, filter, etc.) and the appliance itself.
• Check the power unit, cord and plug do not come into contact with
water or other liquids (such as baths, containers holding liquids,
etc.); in such an event, do not place your hand into the liquid but
first switch off the main electrical panel and unplug the plug from
the plug point. Dry the appliance thoroughly and check that the
electrical parts are dry: if in doubt consult a qualified professional.
• Warning: when using electrical appliances, always adhere to basic
safety precautions to prevent the risk of fire, electric shocks and
physical injury. Even more attention and precaution is needed in
the use of electrical appliances which incorporate a tank with water:
should overfilling occur, first turn off the mains by switching off the
switch on the electrical panel, and then remove the plug from the
socket. Check that the electrical parts of the appliance are not wet,
and if they are, dry them thoroughly and with care. Plug into the
plug point again and then continue to use the appliance. If in doubt
consult a qualified professional.
• Do not touch the appliance with wet hands or feet.
