Pump Down Procedure (Common to Cooling and Heating)
• The procedure below describes the work for ending the pump-down. The work is mainly on the
outdoor main board.

12. Stop outdoor unit

Even if "      " is displayed and the engine is stopped, if the microcomputer is reset by an instantaneous power
failure or the like, the engine will start if an operation is input from, for example, the remote controller. To ensure
safety, be sure to implement the following procedure.
(1) Move the STOP SW (SW001) from "NORM" to "STOP". (Figure 20)
The 7 segment LED will display "      ". (Figure 21)
(2) Turn off the power supply circuit breaker for the outdoor unit.
Be sure to perform this operation when replacing the board or performing other work on the electrical system.
When performing work other than on the electrical system and the power supply circuit breaker cannot be turned
off because of conditions on site, perform the process to "Cancel Each Setting" in the next item.
Caution: To protect the equipment, carry out the work to stop the outdoor unit after 3 minutes have elapsed since the
engine was stopped. The process to cool the engine is performed by the coolant water pump, outdoor fan,
and the like immediately after the engine has stopped.

13. Cancel setting

This procedure is necessary if the power supply circuit breaker cannot be turned off with the process to "Stop the
outdoor unit" as explained in the previous item.
If the power supply circuit breaker can be turned off, this procedure does not need to be carried out.
(1) Press the HOME (SW004) key for 1 second or more. Menu item number "     " will be displayed.
(2) Press the SET (SW007) key for 1 second or more. The TEST/WARNING LED (LED052) will be
extinguished, and all forced settings that were set on the outdoor main board will be cancelled.

14. Turn off fuel supply *Carry out this if necessary.

Close the main gas valve, cutting off the fuel supply.
