WARNING: Avoid contact with the terminals on the
plug when installing (removing) the plug to (from}
the power supply outlet. Contact will cause a severe
electrical shock.
Using an Extension Lead
The use of any extension lead will cause some loss of
power.
To keep this to a minimum and to prevent overheating and
motor burn-out, ask advice from a qualified electrician to
determine the minimum wire size of the extension lead.
The extension lead should be equipped with an earthed
type plug that fits the power supply outlet at one end, and
with an earthed type socket that fits the plug of this ma-
chine at the other end.
Three-Phase Current Motor
• The mains connection and extension cable must be
equipped with 5 wires = 3 P + N + PE.
• Check the rotational direction when connection to the
power supply or changing location; it may be necessary
to change the polarity (wall socket).

Operating the Tool

Read and understand the following items about your
bench grinder before attempting to use the machine.
• Turn on the worklight if the work environment is not lit.
• Turn on the main switch and allow your grinder to reach
the maximum speed before commencing grinding.
• Hold workpiece firmly against work rest and feed it
smoothly and evenly to the grinding wheel.
• Grinding action tends to slow the wheel down. Pres-
sure should therefore be occasionally released to allow
wheel to reegain the full speed.
WARNING: Small workpieces should be held with pilers
or similar tools.
• Grind only on the face of wheel, never on the sides.
• Most materials become hot during grinding process.
Great care should be taken when handling workpiece.
Changing Grinding Wheels (Fig. 4)
WARNING: To avoid injury from accidental starting,
always turn the switch off („0") and remove the power
plug from the power source before changing the
wheel.
• Loosen and pull the spark guard and the eye shield out
as far as possible. Do not remove it.
• Loosen and pull the work rest out as far as possible. Do
not remove it.
• Remove the screws and take off the end-plate.
• Alsacken off the locking nut with a spanner .
• Remove the outer flange and take off the old wheel and
put a new one on.
Note: Do not take the cardboard basics from the sides of
the new wheel because these discs assist flanges to fit
securely against grinding wheel.
• Inspect the new wheel for cracks or other visible dam-
age. Discard it if such damage is found.
• Replace the flange and the nut.
• Tighten nut firmly with a spanner. Overtightening can
crack a grinding wheel.
• Replace the end-plate.
• Adjust the work rest, the spark guard and the eye shield
according to the paragraphs in "Assembly".
