Safety instructions

The guarantee does not cover damage incurred as a result
of non-compliance with the operating instructions. We shall
not be held liable for any consequential damage or loss.
We shall not accept any liability for damage to property or
personal injury caused by incorrect handling or non-compli-
ance with the safety instructions. In such cases the guaran-
tee will lapse.
For safety and licensing reasons (CE), unauthorised conversion and/or modi-
fications to the product are not permitted.
Ensure that all the electrical connections and connection cables between the
appliance and any extension cables conform to the regulations and comply
with the operating instructions.
Never switch on the device immediately after it has been taken from a cold to
a warm environment. The condensation water that develops may lead to the
appliance malfunctioning.
Allow the appliance to reach room temperature before switching it on. Wait
until the condensation water has evaporated.
You must ensure that there is no break in the earth conductor (yellow/green)
either in the mains cable or in any connected extension cable. An interruption
in the earth conductor could result in fatal injury. Operation without an earth
connection is not permitted.
Never pour out liquids above the appliance. There is a serious risk of fire or
electrocution! If liquids do penetrate the device, immediately pull the plug out
and contact a professional.
Electrical devices must be kept out of the reach of children. Special attention
must be paid if children are present, as children might try to insert objects into
the device. There is a risk of electrocution! Do not allow children to play with
the device.
Disconnect the device from the mains
• before cleaning it
• if you do not intend to use it for a longer period of time
• during thunderstorms

Operating other consumers
To switch on the consumer, open the window or door at which you have
mounted the magnetic switch set. The red display on the front side of the
exhaust system safety switch lights up.
To switch off the consumer, close the window or door at which you have
mounted the magnetic switch set. It is normal for the exhaust system safety
switch to heat up slightly during operation.
Disposal
If the exhaust system safety switch stops working and cannot be repaired,
please dispose of it properly.
Maintenance and care
Please refer to the safety instructions before cleaning the exhaust
system safety switch.
Disconnect the exhaust system safety switch from the mains before cleaning.
Only clean the exhaust system safety switch with a soft, slightly damp cloth or
a brush. Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions as these
could damage the exhaust system safety switch.
