Description
Verify the AMIFlash BIOS checksum and disable internal cache memory.
Make the CMOS RAM checksum bad and initialize the CMOS RAM status registers.
Disable DMA Controllers 1 and 2 and Interrupt Controllers 1 and 2.
Initialize the chipset registers.
If the main BIOS is good, transfer control to the main BIOS.
Initialize the system timer.
Begin the refresh test.
Begin the 16 KB base memory test.
Initialize the interrupt vectors.
Determine the CPU clock frequency.
Program the system speed-dependent parameters according to the CPU clock frequency.
Begin the memory test.
The memory test has completed.
Initialize the DMA controller.
Initialize the interrupt controller.
Initialize the I/O chipset, if any.
Enable the appropriate IRQs.
Enable the internal cache memory.
Initialize the floppy drives.
Indicate an error. The BIOS stops here if there is an error.
Reading the floppy disk in drive A: to program the Flash EPROM.
Configure the proper stack.
Display a message to ask the user to insert the AMIFlash Floppy Disk in drive A:.
Floppy read error.
Begin the search for the S717P.ROM file in the floppy root directory.
The S717P.ROM file not present in the floppy disk root directory.
Begin reading the File Allocation Table.
Begin reading S717P.ROM, sector by sector.
S717P.ROM is not the proper size.
Disable internal cache memory.
Enable and reset flash memory.
Detect the flash type if present.
Flash memory not detected.
Begin erasing flash blocks.
Begin programming flash blocks.
Flash programming successful and the system reboots, if possible.
