WARNING

Only use materials listed here. Only media autho-
rized have been tested for use within the fireplace
and its environment. Do not attempt to use any
different materials in the fireplace. Doing so may
be dangerous and will void the warranty and will
result in incomplete combustion, sooting, and poor
flame quality.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

GLASS MEDIA MUST BE INSTALLED BEFORE INSTALLING
LOG SET. LOG SET IS COMPATIBLE WITH CRUSH GLASS
OR ICE ROCK.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The driftwood log kit is to be used as a decorative addition to
fireplace models listed on this instruction sheet. Please read this
instruction sheet in its entirety before applying this log media kit.
ALL WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS IN THE INSTALLATION AND
OPERATION MANUAL PROVIDED WITH THE APPLIANCE APPLY
TO THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
Refer to the appliance installation instructions and care and op-
erations manual (iico) for detailed instructions.

If media is not installed according to the installa-
tion instructions, flame impingement and improper
combustion could occur and result in soot and/or
excessive production of carbon monoxide (CO), a
colorless, odorless, toxic gas.
TURN OFF THE FIREPLACE AND ALLOW IT TO COMPLETELY
COOL BEFORE PROCEEDING.
TURN OFF GAS AND POWER TO THE APPLIANCE AND USE
LOCKOUTS TO PREVENT ACCIDENTAL/UNSAFE OPERATION.
PREPARING THE FIREPLACE FOR DRIFTWOOD LOG SET
INSTALLATION
1. To access the glass door securing latches, first remove trim kit (if
installed) and screen barrier from fireplace.
2. Lift the barrier to clear the bottom channel and swing the bottom
of the barrier out. Then lower the barrier to clear the top channel.
3. Detach the four (4) door latches on top of firebox.
4. Swing the top of the glass door away from the fireplace at about
15° angle.
5. Carefully grip the door at the top and bottom, and remove it
from the fireplace. Place the door in a safe location for later
re installation.
