5.4 Adjusting the soleplate for miter cuts
(Figures 6-7)
Undo the screw for the soleplate (19) on the
underside of the adjustable soleplate (9) using
the Allen key (6) (figure 6).
Pull the sole plate (9) forwards slightly. The
soleplate can now be adjusted to an angle of up
to 45° to the left or right.
If the soleplate (9) is pushed back to the rear
again it will only function in the locking positions
at 0°, 15°, 30° and 45°, which are marked on the
graduated scale for the soleplate (11) (Figure 7).
Move the soleplate to the appropriate position
and tighten the screw for the soleplate (19).
The soleplate (9) can also be set to another
angle easily, however. To do this, pull the
soleplate (19) forwards, set the required angle
and tighten the screw for the soleplate (19)
again.
5.5 Adapter for chip extraction (Figure 8/Item 7)
Connect your jigsaw to a vacuum cleaner using
the adapter chip extraction (7). This will provide
excellent dust extraction on the workpiece. The
benefits are that you will protect both the tool and
your own health. Your work area will also be
cleaner and safer.
Dust created when working may be dangerous.
Ensure that you observe the safety instructions.
Fit the adapter (7) as shown in Figure 8. The
adapter (7) must audibly engage to ensure that it
is secure in the soleplate (9). The adapter for
chip extraction (7) cannot be used for miter cuts.
Connect the suction hose of your vacuum
cleaner to the opening on the adapter (7). Check
that there is an airtight connection between the
adapter and the hose.
5.6 Holder for saw blades (Figure 8 / Item 8)
There is a holder for saw blades on the jigsaw (8).
This holder can be taken off the machine. To do this,
slide the holder backwards. To secure the holder (8)
place it in the appropriate guides and then slide the
holder forwards.

(3) to the left or right. To switch off, press the
ON/OFF switch (4) briefly.
6.3 Electronic speed control (Fig. 10/Item 2)
The speed control can be used to set the required
speed. Turn the speed control in the PLUS direction
to increase the speed and turn the speed control in
the MINUS direction to reduce the speed. The
suitable speed depends on the material and the
working conditions.
The general rules for cutting speeds for metal cutting
work apply here as well.
You can generally use a higher speed with fine saw
blades whilst coarser saw blades require lower
speeds.
Position 1-2 = Low speed (for steel)
Position 3-4 = Medium speed (for steel, soft metal
and plastic)
Position 5-6 = High speed (for softwood, hardwood,
soft metal and plastic)
6.4 Pendulum action adjustment (Fig. 11/Item 10)
The strength of the pendulum action of the saw
blade (15) can be adjusted using the selector
switch for pendulum action.
You can adjust the cutting speed, cutting
performance the finish to the workpiece you wish
to saw.
Set the selector switch for the pendulum action (10)
to one of the following positions:
Position 0 = No pendulum action
Material: Rubber, ceramic, aluminum and steel
Please note: For fine, clean edges, thin materials
(for example metal plate) and hard materials.
Position 1 = Small pendulum action
Material: Plastic, wood and aluminum
Please note: For hard materials
Position 2 = Medium pendulum action
Material: Wood
Position 3 = Large pendulum action
Material: Wood
Please note: For soft materials and sawing in the
grain direction
