Starting the Engine

1.
Pump the primer bulb (11) repeatedly (up to 10 times) until the bulb is filled
with fuel mix.
2.
Set the start/stop switch (6) in the position I.
3.
Place the hedge trimmer on the bottom and hold it firmly with your foot.
4.
Pull the choke (13) in direction a.
HINT: At warm weather it might not be
necessary to use the choke.
5.
While holding the hedge trimmer
securely on the ground, pull the starter
handle (4) vigorously several times
until firing occurs. If not, pump the
primer bulb (11) several times again in
order to distribute the fuel.
6.
Pull the starter handle again to start
the engine and push the choke back to
the middle position or up to the end, in
direction to b.
7.
Press down the throttle trigger lock-out
(7) and finally press the throttle trigger
(9) in order to check proper operation
and moving of the blade bar.
8.
Allow the engine to warm up (without
pressing the throttle lever). HINT:
When restarting the hedge trimmer
immediately after stopping the engine,
you do not need the choke (13) again. However, if you use the chock, do not
forget to push back after starting the engine.
