energy usage. All 3 blades and screws must be replaced
at the same time to obtain a balanced cutting system.
Use GARDENA original blades embossed with the
crowned H-mark logotype, refer to
48 .
5.3.1 To replace the blades
1. Push the STOP button.
2. Set the main switch to position
3. Turn the product upside down. Put the product on
a soft and clean surface to prevent scratching the
body and the hatch.
4. Remove the 3 screws with a screwdriver.
5. Remove the 3 blades.
6. Attach 3 new blades and screws.
7. Make sure that the blades can pivot freely.

5.4 Firmware update

If service is done by GARDENA customer service then
available firmware updates are downloaded to the
product by the service technician. Owners of GARDENA
products can update the firmware if this is initiated by
GARDENA. Registered users are in that case notified.
5.4.1 To update the firmware
1. Connect the USB cable to the computer's USB
port.

5.5 Battery

If the operating time for the product is shorter than
normal between charges, this indicates that the battery
is getting old and eventually needs replacing.
Remove the service outlet plug on the bottom of
the product. The service outlet is located beside
the Main switch.
Connect the USB cable to the product service
outlet.
Set the Main switch to position
Download the firmware update tool on
www.gardena.com and follow the instructions.
When the firmware update is completed,
disconnect the USB cable and fit the service outlet
plug. If the seal on the service outlet plug is visibly
damaged, the entire plug must be replaced. Make
sure that the plug is locked completely.
WARNING:
Only charge the product
using a charging station which is intended
for it. Incorrect use may result in electric
shock, overheating or leakage of corrosive
liquid from the battery. In the event of
leakage of electrolyte flush with water and
seek medical help if it comes in contact with
the eyes etc.
WARNING:
Use only original batteries
recommended by the manufacturer. Product
safety cannot be guaranteed with other
batteries. Do not use non-rechargeable
batteries.
CAUTION:
The battery must charge a
complete cycle before winter storage. If the
battery is not fully charged it can be
damaged and in certain cases be rendered
useless.
