Attempting to clear the work area whilst using the machine will reduce your concentration and creates a trip hazard.

    Machine Description And Scope Of Application The HYSC1500E is a lawn scarifier and aerator from Hyundai, ideally suited for small to medium sized lawns. The HYSC1500E has a working width of 360mm and is powered by a 1500W motor. The operator is able to operate the machine and use the main controls, always staying behind the handle at a safe distance from the rotating blade.

Loop the power cable (R) through the cable holder to prevent unnecessary strain where the cable enters the control unit.     Operation Working Depth Adjustment The working depth is adjustable to 5 heights: -12mm, -9mm, -6mm, -3mm and +10mm. Be careful not to use the scarifier at too deep a setting. If there is excessive strain on the motor, it will lose speed and be less efficient. Push the height adjustment handle (C) forwards or backwards to adjust the height.

    Operation Using The Scarifier (Rigid Tines) By scarifying you remove the hardened surface, grass felt and flat-growing weeds and the crusted over grassroots are loosened up. The lawn will start to breathe again and assimilate the nourishing substances, oxygen and water. This also prevents the establishing of bacteria in the lawn during the winter.

    Operation Blade System Change Disconnect from the mains electricity supply. Wear strong gloves. Turn the machine on its side and loosen wing nut by turning anti-clockwise to release the blade clamp. Pull the blade towards you and lift out the blade drive socket. To replace, insert blade into drive socket and other end into blade retaining clamp and tighten the wing nut.

Inspect and check safety devices and guards and check all nuts, bolts and screws are secure. Make sure you know how to stop the machine and ensure you are familiar with emergency stop.
