A set of questions contained in an AlphaQuiz library
Library:
document (.qzl files). A library is not limited to a size that can be sent
to an AlphaSmart device, and can serve as a repository of questions
from which quizzes can be assembled.
The process of scoring questions that cannot be
Manual grading:
auto-graded by QuizManager; these are essay questions and short
answer questions for which correct answers were not provided when
creating the quiz. Questions can be manually graded onscreen in
QuizManager's Grading window, or may be printed using a Grading
Sheet report and graded as hard copy, after which the scores can be
entered into QuizManager for inclusion in summary reports.
A step that students can be required to perform at
Mark as finished:
the end of a quiz to confirm that they have completed the quiz. This
can be thought of as equivalent to "handing in" a quiz on paper, and
can be helpful in avoiding later misunderstanding as to whether the
student intended to answer more questions. The requirement for this
step is defined on the Advanced tab of Quiz Options when you create
a quiz using QuizDesigner.

Quiz:
document (.qzz files) that can be downloaded to an AlphaSmart
device and administered using the AlphaQuiz SmartApplet.
A word or phrase students must type into

their AlphaSmart devices to enter a quiz. This password is the same
for everyone in the class.
Reminders, thoughts, references, or suggestions related
Remarks:
to a question, and saved with the quiz for the benefit of other users
of the quiz, or for future reference. Remarks are entered by the
teacher into QuizDesigner and are not seen during the quiz, but may
optionally be included on Corrected Quiz reports.
