To delete the software
(1) Insert the memory card written with the software into
the memory card box.

The memory card box should be connected. (Refer to
Section 1-18.)
(2) Activate the maintenance mode, and select this mode.
(3) Turn the JOG dial to align the asterisk cursor (*) to
disired software on the LCD monitor screen.
(4) Press the JOG dial or SET button.
. Pressing the JOG dial or SET button executes the
identification of the memory card and software
check.
If no error, the name and version of the software and
"EXECUTE-OFF" message will be displayed.
If any error message is displayed, see page 3-60 for
details and troubleshooting.

To cancel software deletion, press the MENU button
to exit the menu.
To delete software, perform the following procedure.
(5) Turn the JOG dial to align the asterisk cusor (*) with
"EXECUTE-OFF" on the LCD monitor screen.
(6) While pressing the JOG dial downward, turn it
clockwise to display EXECUTE-ON".
. When changed to "EXECUTE-ON", "PUSH SET
BUTTON TO EXECUTE" will be displayed.
. When turning the JOG dial counterclockwise while
pressing it, the display returns to "EXECUTE-OFF".
(7) Press the SET button to delete the software.
(8) Check that the software has been deleted.
. When software is deleted normally, the message
"Erase Complete. Turn the power off!" will be
displayed. If deletion failed, "Failure! Turn the
power off!" will be displayed.
(9) Exit the maintenance mode.
