  • Page 2 READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGHLY GENERAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS Consider work area environment. Keep work area well-lit. Do not use tool in presence of flammable liquids or gases. Keep the work area clean. Cluttered work areas and workbenches invite injuries. Do not operate power tools in areas that may be subject to hazardous materials or airborne particles, such as flammable liquids, gases, or dust.
  • Page 3 Remove adjusting keys or wrenches before turning the tool ON. A wrench or a key that is left attached to a rotating part of the tool may result in personal injury. Maintain tool with care. Keep tool clean. Properly maintained tools are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
  • Page 4 • If an extension cord is necessary, a cord with adequate size conductors should be used to prevent excessive voltage drop, loss of power or overheating. The table shows the correct size to use, depending on cord length and nameplate amperage rating of tool.

  • Page 6 Belt adjustment knob WARNING: Always disconnect the sander from its power supply before attaching or removing sandpaper. Fig.3 • When the sanding belt is correctly tracked, the belt will remain centred and will smoothly run over the rollers. Adjustment is achieved by rotating the belt adjustment knob.
  • Page 7 GENERAL SANDING WARNING: Sanding can produce clouds of fine dust particles that can ignite in the presence of sparks or an open flame. To avoid injury, always use your sander in a well-ventilated area. WARNING: For your safety and to avoid damage, turn the sander ON and OFF only when the sander is not in contact with a surface.
