10 Care, maintenance and repair

10.1 Care by cleaning

The floor jack must always be kept in a clean condition.
Use protective gloves!
NOTE!
Never use strong cleaning agents for any cleaning ta-
sks. This may damage or destroy the device.
All plastic and lacquered surfaces should be cleaned
using a soft, damp cloth and a neutral cleaning agent.
Remove any excess lubricant or leaked oil using a dry,
lint-free cloth.
Remove surplus grease or leaked oil with a dry, lint-free
cloth.

10.2 Maintenance and repair

ATTENTION!
Maintenance and repair work may only be perfor-
med by instructed persons.
If the floor jack does not work properly, contact a dealer
or our customer service. The contact details can be found
in chapter 1.2 Customer Service.
All safety and protection equipment must be reinstalled
immediately after the repair ad maintenance work has
been completed.
Step 1: Lubricate all moving parts, jack bearings and
pump mechanism (Fig. 8) with high quality lubri-
cating oil.

Step 2: Check the floor jack for external damage before
each use.
Step 3: Check the hydraulic oil level at regular intervals.
Step 4: Make sure that all safety instructions on the floor
jack are clearly legible.
Venting
After some time, or after filling with oil, air bubbles may
form in the hydraulic system of the floor jack and affect
its function.
Step 1: Turn the pump lever around its own axis to the
left to open the drain valve.
Step 2: Pump several times with the pump lever over the
entire stroke range.
Step 3: Close the drain valve by turning the pump lever
to the right.
Step 4: Pump the lifting arm to its maximum height and
then pump several more times.
Step 5: Slowly and carefully open the oil filler plug (Fig.
10) to allow the trapped air to escape.
Step 6: Open the drain valve to drain the lifting arm.
Step 7: Check the function of floor jack and repeat the
steps if necessary.
Check the oil level
Step 1: Turn the pump lever around its axis to the left to
open the drain valve. Apply force to the lifting
arm to move it down to the stop.
Step 2: Remove the tool tray. Open the oil filler plug and
check the oil level. With the lifting arm comple-
tely drained, the oil should reach to the lower
edge of the oil filler neck.
Step 3: Top up hydraulic oil if necessary. Use only new,
clean hydraulic oil, viscosity class "ISO VG15".
ATTENTION!
Only use hydraulic oil of the same type.
Never mix different types of oil.
