Suction fans

The suction fans are used to suck in the dust raised by the brushes. When the motor sweeper is in operation, the fans
must always be running, except for the following cases, when they must stop:
Water present on the ground to be swept
When the refuse hopper is tipped up
When the dust fi lters are vibrated (when switch 15 (fi g. 3) is operated to vibrate the fi lters, the fans stop auto-
matically).

Dust fl aps

The dust fl aps prevent the dust raised by the brushes from blowing out from under the motor sweeper. They must
therefore be kept in peak condition and replaced if they become worn or damaged.

Replacing the fl aps

Remove the fi xing bolts and remove the worn or damaged fl ap.
Fit a new fl ap and secure it in position with the same bolts. The side and rear fl aps should ride at about 4 - 5 mm
above fl oor level.

Dust fi lters

The dust fi lters remove the dust from the air sucked up by the suction fans. They must be kept in peak condition.

Cleaning the fi lters

Stop the fans by turning the switch 15 (Fig. 3) to the central position. Turn switch 15 to position B (fi g.3) to vibrate the
fi lters for about 5 sec. Repeat 4-5 times in succession.
!
Caution!
Do not keep the switch pressed constantly as this may damage the electrical system.
If the machine is working in a very dusty environment the fi lter 1 must be cleaned frequently.Removing rear cover 2
and clean fi lter by a vacuum cleaner and its kit 3.
In very dusty environments, the cleaning procedure must be repeated often.
To allow the fi lters to be cleaned more thoroughly, they must be removed.:
Remove the top fi lter cover 4.
Remove the fi lter and clean it thoroughly with a compressed air jet or preferably with a vacuum cleaner, star-
ting from the inside of the sacks where the dust collects most. Never use metal or wooden tools for cleaning.
Disconnect the fi lter shaker cable.
When fi tting the new fi lter, make sure that the cover seal is airtight and that the fi lter is properly positioned.
Reconnect the fi lter shaker.
Replace the fi lter cover.
!
Caution!
Protect eyes and hair when cleaning with compressed air guns.
