18. Annual inspection
According to the German Institute of Construction Technology, the
display elements of the amalgam separator must be tested at least once
every year by an authorized technician.
METASYS mandatorily prescribes performing the annual inspection
(order no: 50040030).
ƒ Start the service mode, as described in chapter 17
ƒ Conduct a test run of the motor at least once
ƒ Continue checking the inlet and outlet
Ö Signal 1 flashes, signal 2 and 3 remain permanently lit
ƒ Remove the separator from the supports

ƒ Pull up a suction hose (= activate SV7 signal)
ƒ Magnetic valve closes (passage of suction current)
ƒ Place suction hose back in its holder
ƒ To terminate the service mode, keep the RESET button pressed again
Ö Signal 3 flashes
Ö Signal 3 flashes (25 Hz): The instrument changes over from the service
mode into the normal mode
Ö Signal 1 remains permanently lit

During the annual inspection, we recommend a prophylactic replacement
of the following parts by an authorized technician: amalgam collection
container, sealing unit, separation rotor, pump filter.

Each annual inspection must be recorded in the Equipment
Logbook!
