House light with motion detector LLA 90
Please read these instructions carefully and
keep for future reference.
By purchasing
this item, you have chosen a high-quality
GEV product. Please read these operating
instructions
carefully
to
ensure
correct
operation. Keep these instructions in a safe
place so that you can refer back to them if
necessary.
Operation
The motion detector uses passive infrared
technology (PIR). If the motion detector's PIR
sensor detects a moving heat source in its
detection range, it automatically switches the
house light on. Static heat sources do not switch
the house light on.
The adjustable twilight switch can be set to ensure
that the motion detector will operate either during
the day and night or only when dark. Using the in-
built timer, the house light switch-on duration can
be set to between approx. 6 seconds and approx.
12 min.
The range can be set using the controller.
Safety instructions
This device may only be installed by
a technician in accordance with the
applicable regulations.
The electrical power supply and the
circuit protection must be switched off during the
entire installation process.
Please check that the connection cable is
disconnected!
Under no circumstances does the warranty cover
damage resulting from failure to observe these
instructions. Nor do we accept liability for any
indirect damage.
Similarly, we can accept no liability for any material
damage or bodily injury caused by mishandling or
failure to observe the safety instructions. In these
cases, no warranty claim may be made.
In addition, for safety and compliance reasons,
you are not authorised to dismantle and/or alter
the house light in any way.
Installation position
Motion detection is maximised by moving at
an angle to the motion detector. Therefore, the
motion detector should be installed in a position
that ensures that objects/people do not move
directly towards the device.
The house light is suitable for wall mounting.
Installation
Install the light according to Fig. A - F. Connect
the mains connection cable as shown in the wiring
diagram (Fig. B).
Settings (Fig. H)
LUX Twilight switch approx. 5 to 1000 lux
TIME Time setting/light duration for the afterglow
time approx. 6 sec - 12 min.
METER Range approx. 0 - 10 m infi nitely variable,
range also depends on installation height and
outside temperature.
Test mode/walk test
This test mode/walk test is designed to help you
individually set the desired fi eld of detection. Set
the TIME controller to minimum, LUX to "sun"
and METER to maximum (Fig. H). Switch the
circuit protection back on. If the motion detector
is switched on via a separate switch, turn this
on. A self-test is then initiated lasting approx.
10 seconds. The connected device will remain on
throughout this time.
When the device turns off , the walk test will
begin. The device will now switch on for approx.
6  seconds in response to any movement,
regardless of the ambient lighting level. This time
period is initiated by any movement from the front.
The motion detector can be adjusted horizontally
(Fig. I). Reduce the range using METER (Fig. H).
After the motion detector has been adjusted you
can carry out further settings.
Special functions
Continuous lighting mode:
Continuous lighting mode can be enabled by
briefl y switching a switch in the supply cable ON
then OFF (< 1 second). The house light switches
on for 8 hours. After this time, the house light will
revert to automatic mode.
It is possible to revert to automatic mode earlier
than this by briefl y switching the power off again.
Recycling instructions
This device may not be disposed of with
unsorted household waste. Owners of old
devices are required by law to dispose of
this device correctly. Contact your local
town council for further information.
