2.6 Where to Find What

• On the "AVM Test Connection/Fast Internet... " page can be
specified whether two new connections should be configured
in Dial-Up Networking during the CAPI Port Driver installation:
AVM Fast Internet and AVM Intranet. Dial-Up Networking must
already be installed.
This completes the installation of the most important software
components for FRITZ!Card PCI. Reboot your computer.
Installation Errors: What To Do
Should errors occur during installation, resulting in a damaged
or partial installation of the FRITZ!Card software components,
proceed as follows:
• Uninstall all FRITZ!Card components as described in section
2.8.
• Reboot your computer.
• Perform the complete installation again.
To install individual FRITZ!Card components, see the instructions
in section 2.7.
After an installation with the standard settings, the software
components of FRITZ!Card PCI can be found in the following
locations:

when Windows is started. An "AVM" program group is created
under "Programs" in the Windows Start menu. This group
contains four entries:
• "AVM Internet Home Page" is a link to the AVM Internet site
(required: WWW browser and Internet access).
• "FRITZ!Card PCI Readme" contains current information.
• The program "FRITZ!Card PCI Setup" can be used to change
the selection of the D-channel protocol and to activate CAPI
SoftCompression X75/V42bis for all connections (see also
section 3.2).
